Using this site and agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any insulation work you hire San Clemente Insulation and Spray Foam to do. When you browse the site, call us at (949) 312-6336, send our contact form or book a job, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or our services.
Your written estimate or contract for a specific job can add to these terms. If the two ever conflict, the written agreement for your job controls that job.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor based in San Clemente, CA, and we work on homes and commercial buildings in San Clemente and the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall, crawl space and basement insulation, blown-in insulation, open-cell and closed-cell spray foam, air sealing, vapor barriers and insulation removal. You can read more about who we are on our About page, and the home page lists our services and the cities we serve.
Information on this site is general and isn't advice for your particular house. We can't say what your attic or crawl space needs until we've seen it, so treat anything you read here as a starting point, not a promise about your job.
Estimates and pricing
We give free in-person estimates, and asking for one puts you under no obligation. Your estimate is based on what we can see and reach when we visit, including how much material is already up there, its condition and how easy the space is to work in.
Some things only show up once the work starts, such as old insulation that's wet or full of droppings and has to come out, or damage hidden under existing material. When that happens, we'll stop, explain what we found and get your approval before doing work or charging for anything beyond the estimate.
Estimates are good for the period written on them. After that, material and labor costs may have changed, and we may need to update the price before scheduling.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We set your start date when you approve the estimate, and we'll tell you how long the crew expects to be at your house. Weather, material deliveries and conditions we find on site can move the schedule, and we'll keep you posted if they do.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work areas and to clear stored items from the attic, garage or crawl space where we've asked you to. For spray foam and some other materials, people and pets need to stay out of the house until the re-entry time we give you, which is when it's safe to come back inside. Following that guidance is part of the job going well.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, call us as early as you can. Any cancellation fee or charge for material already ordered will be stated in your written estimate or contract. If we have to reschedule on our end, we'll let you know as soon as we can and set a new date with you.
Payment
Payment is due as set out in your written estimate or contract, including any deposit and when the balance is due. We'll tell you which payment methods we accept before work begins.
If a payment is late, we may pause further work until the account is current, and you may be responsible for reasonable costs of collecting what's owed, as California law allows.
Our guarantee and warranty limits
Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come back to look at it and work with you to fix it.
Any specific written warranty for your job, and any manufacturer's warranty on the materials, will be given to you in writing. Apart from those written terms and our guarantee, and to the extent the law allows, our services and this website are provided as they are, without other promises, express or implied.
Insulation slows heat and air sealing cuts drafts, but your power bill and comfort also depend on your HVAC system, windows, ductwork and how the house is used. We don't promise a particular amount of savings or a specific temperature in any room.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim tied to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your home, or for problems caused by conditions we didn't create and couldn't reasonably see, like existing roof leaks, pest activity or damage hidden in walls. We also aren't responsible for problems caused by changes others make to our work after we finish.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that California law says can't be limited.
If we disagree
Most problems get solved with a phone call, so please call us first at (949) 312-6336 or reach us through our Contact page, and give us a fair chance to make it right.
If we can't settle it together, either of us may bring the matter in the courts of Orange County, California, including small claims court where the amount fits.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version is always the one posted on this page. Changes apply to your use of the site and to jobs booked after they're posted, not to work already under a signed agreement.
Questions about these terms are welcome. Call us at (949) 312-6336 or send a note through our Contact page.
